Its a shocking statistic to swallow but over 300 million children around the world do not have access to education and may never learn to read or write. Thankfully, That number is being reduced by a pioneering non-profit organization who believes in feeding starving brains as well as bodies.

It all began in 2001 when the then head of mocrosoft china , John Wood, made a visit to Nepal,India and stumbled upon a school with 450 students and a single, very empty library. " We are to poor to afford education, but until we have education we will always be poor,'the headmaster told Wood, before addding, hopefully :'perhaps you would someday comeback with books.'

And come back Wood did.Woods initial idea to provide books has evolved over the last eleven years to become ever more ambitious and far-reaching in its aims.
